Description

PATH was founded in 1984 with the mission "to break the cycle of homelessness by empowering people with the tools for self-sufficiency.” Our approach is to help people find work, save money, secure housing, and empower their lives. Based on the belief that the homeless need “a hand up, not a hand out,” our services include: a full range of housing (emergency, transitional, permanent), street outreach, case management, job preparation and placement assistance, and over 20 support services co-located under one roof in our innovative PATHMall. Services provided through the PATHMall include: healthcare, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, legal aid, public benefits assistance, employment services, and even a full service beauty salon.

All services are available free of charge to anyone who is homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. Each year, we serve over 4,500 homeless men, women and children. For more information, visit us at www.epath.org, or call (323) 644-2200.
