Description
PAL, a private 501 (C) 3 not-for-profit organization founded in 1982, is the longest running and most well-established animal-assisted therapy organization in the DC area. PAL and its 290 volunteer teams apply the power of the human-animal bond and bring people and animals together, brightening the lives of the lonely, easing the pain of the sick, and enriching the world of at-risk children. They do this through thousands of pet-therapy visits to people in need at hospitals, homes, and schools.
