Description
The Penny Seats is a theater company in Ann Arbor devoted to creating beautiful things with minimal resources, and providing high-quality theater for the price of a movie ticket. The group is funded solely via private donations, not ticket sales, because it believes no one should forego a live theater experience because of its cost. The group performs outside during the summer and inside in other seasons, and often partners with other local vendors and non-profits to provide unique theater experiences, including picnic-and-a-show packages, or staged readings of plays written by local students.
