The Peninsula Pet Pantry assists local families with pet food, supplies and other needs when they falll upon hard times. The economy has forced many people to surrender beloved family pets to already overwhelmed shelters where they are likely euthanized!
By providing temporary assistance during these difficult economic times, families are not forced to make the difficult decision regarding the future of their childrens pets. This serves two purposes as it also prevents many animals from being surrendered to shelters running thin on their own finances.
Families that are helped must spay/neuter their animlas is not already done and information is given regarding low cost clinics in the area. They also are able to assist with some medical bills-such as they fundraiser for Isis. The dog that was shot in her yard. There was a write up in the Daily Press regarding this which as wonderful as it was to get recognition, resulted in over 50 more requests for help! Please help them not turn anyone away!
