Description

From mediating neighborhood disputes over boundary lines and parent/teen clashes, to training school age peers to overcome bullying, to improving employer/employee relations, to facilitating community empowerment, the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center (PCRC), a 501(c) (3) agency,plays an important role in making San Mateo County a safer and better place to live for everyone. Trained staff and volunteers assist individuals and groups to develop skills to resolve differences and build strong working relationships. Community building programs promote active resident involvement in decisions affecting their lives. PCRC works with youth and families, as well as educators, to build skills in communicating, respecting differences and using conflict as an opportunity for improvement. Disagreements can be handled before they become disputes taking this prevention approach.
