Description

The Peace Corps Nigeria Alumni Foundation (PCNAF) was formed by a small group of former Peace Corps volunteers who served in Nigeria. Our mission is to help reduce poverty & promote economic growth in Nigeria with programs designed to improve equity & access to quality education. Activities include:
-Providing support to female Nigerian students who need financial assistance to complete their education.
-Educating Americans about the critical need to improve equity and access to quality education for children in Nigeria.

With a population>130 million, Nigeria is Africa’s most populous country. However, more than 7MM children of primary school age - more than any other country in the world - remain outside the school system & most of them are girls. We believe education is a key to economic development in Nigeria.
We help teachers in the US develop curriculum to inform their students about the basic education crisis & how it also affects our lives.
