Description

Peace Brigades International provides nonviolent international peacekeeping in areas of violent conflict and repression, offering unarmed protective accompaniment to individuals, organizations, and communities threatened with political violence and human rights violations.

PBI-USA, one of over 16 country groups, supports the existing PBI field projects with:

PUBLICITY: Publicizing and promoting the work of PBI through our newsletter, this website, and regular public events featuring returned field volunteers.
RECRUITMENT: Recruiting field volunteers for PBI teams and providing mental health support to those individuals
EMERGENCY RESPONSE: Maintaining and activating the grassroots Emergency Response Network
NETWORKING: Networking with high level contacts, including sister non-governmental organizations, Congress and U.S. government
FUNDRAISING: Fundraising for PBI projects.
