Description

Pathways to Wellness, Inc. was founded in 1989 as the AIDS Care project, providing free acupuncture, massage and Chinese herbal medicine to people living with HIV and AIDS, to relieve the pain and suffering caused by the disease. Since that time, Pathways has expanded its mission to provide its services to improve the health and well-being of diverse populations in the greater Boston community, when treatment from the medical system alone is not enough. We serve more than 1600 clients a year, with more than 15,000 treatments – and more than 60% of the treatments we provide are free or low cost. We are unique in the nation as the largest provider of acupuncture to people living with HIV/AIDS. Other populations served include military veterans, home-bound elders and people with disabilities.
