Patchwork School

The Patchwork School is a small independent learning community with full-time and part-time programs for children, ages three through eight. We have a maximum of twenty-eight students at a time and are located in a converted house on Main Street in Louisville, Colorado. The two directors and founders, Michele Beach and Elizabeth Baker, both have Master's degrees in Educational Psychology as well as Early Childhood Teaching Licenses. The school's philosophy is based on freedom, challenge, and relationships in a supportive learning community. These ideas have evolved through our own research and experience with various educational approaches, including Reggio Emilia and freeschooling.
