Description
Partnerships for Children is a partnership that provides services directly to children under the care of Child Protective Services (CPS) in the Austin area. Partnerships for Children works to bridge the gap between limited government resources and the critical needs of Austin area children. The Partnership operates programs designed to help caseworkers provide resources and support to the families and children they serve.
Every year, Travis County alone receives over 10,000 reports of abuse and neglect. Every day caseworkers witness violence, poverty and broken children. Before PC, CPS caseworkers spent time trying to locate the most basic resources for families. Things we might take for granted, like clothes, diapers, and a toothbrush. There is no state funding for these necessities. Now caseworkers are able to spend more time working with their families, instead of trying to locate a day’s worth of diapers.
