About Partners for World Health
Partners for World Health (PWH) is a non-profit organization in South Portland Maine that aims to reduce the amount of medical supplies bound for local landfills by collecting from participating hospitals in Northern New England. These supplies are then reprocessed and distributed to those in need in developing countries. This process lowers the cost of healthcare by lowering the disposal fees that hospitals pay. PWH collects medical supplies at no cost to the hospitals. Additionally, PWH sends local healthcare professionals and medical and nursing students on medical missions, and educates local communities on issues of global health.
