Description
The mission of the Austin Theatre Alliance is to bring the highest quality arts programming from around the world to the largest most diverse audience in Central Texas while maintaining and preserving two Congress Avenue landmark theatre – the Paramount and State.
The Paramount is a city, state and national landmark.
With 238,000 patrons, 200 shows, 5,000 subscribers, 40,000 registered users on-line and 4,000 donors we are the largest provider of arts and entertainment in the Austin.
Our education and outreach efforts reach over 50 local schools and target Title I schools and at-risk youth. Each year 20,000 children come to the theatre and nearly half are admitted free or at reduced rates through our Skinny’s Gallery program. We work closely with school teachers to match our programming with classroom curriculums and send educators to the schools for pre and post show workshops.
