The Palo Alto Humane Society (PAHS) is a non-profit working to help animals on the mid-peninsula.
We have been around since 1924, making us 82 years old. For many years we were joined with the local shelter, but since the mid-1960's we have focused on the critical work of helping communities spay and neuter homeless and unwanted pets as to prevent future pain and suffering. We also financially assist those animal owners who are low income or elderly and on fixed income. A large part of our work is also with humane education, a critical component of humane work. Currently we are working on an evolutionary humane education project which, with proper funding, will reach classrooms nationwide.
Help us continue to make a difference in the lives of animals and communities!
