Description
Founded in 1978, the Pacific Symphony in Orange County, California, is the largest orchestra formed in the United States in the last thirty years and the third largest orchestra in California. Led by Music Director Carl St.Clair, the Symphony is recognized as an outstanding emerging orchestra in a burgeoning cultural community.
The Pacific Symphony presents over 100 concerts per year and is engaged in a rich array of education and community programs. The Symphony touches more than 250,000 Orange County residents a year—from school children to senior citizens. In addition to its winter home at the new Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, the Symphony presents a summer outdoor series at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, the Symphony's summer home since 1987.
