Saving the homeless, neglected and abused dogs of Owen County, Kentucky four paws at a time. Volunteers care for all of the dogs at the Owen County Shelter and incur all expenses from the time the dogs are dropped off by the dog warden to the time the dogs are transferred to other rescues or forever homes. OCFA demonstrates no-kill ethics. With no financial support other than donations, volunteers many times pull money from their own pockets to save the dogs lives. Before OCFA incorporated, Owen County's holding period was minimal, no efforts were made to find new homes and hundreds of dogs were euthanised each year, and by inhumane methods. OCFA needs community support, please make GoodSearch your homepage and contact OCFA at 502-514-1897 or PO BOX 234 Owenton KY 40359 if you would like to make a monetary donation or become a shelter volunteer to help even more.
