Description
Ovarian Cycle is a non-profit organization in Atlanta, GA. Our mission is to fund research for the development of an early diagnostic test for the early detection of ovarian cancer.
While much attention has been given to breast cancer, and rightly so, ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecological cancers. Currently one out of two women diagnosed with the disease die due to the late stage diagnosis.
Our event, hosted each spring, is unique. We partner with Atlanta-area healthclubs to provide six-weeks of indoor cycling training, culminating in a 100 mile (century) virtual ride. In 2007, training will begin on March 17th and the Century Ride will be on April 28th. And in just three short years, we have raised over $300,000!
