Description
We are a Colorado-based charity which provides financial and other assistance to poor and disadvantaged people in Uganda. We currently have 3 primary projects:
1. Assistance to impoverished women primarily from northern Uganda. The groups are located in Jinja and Kitgum Uganda. We provide marketing, business and training assistance to the women and educational assistance via child sponsorship for certain of the women's children. The majority of these women are living on less than $2 per day. We market the women's beaded jewelry and crafts here in the US. All profits go to the women's groups.
2. Assistance with program expenses at the Maranatha Orphanage and Schools located in Mityana Uganda. Current needs include additional chicken coops, a secondary school building, sewing machines and carpentry tools for their vocational program, and additional land for expansion.
3. Vocational training and educational assistance to needy teens and young adults in the Kampala Uganda.
