Description
We are an award-winning 501 c) (3) non profit organization working in the traditional skid row area of Portland, Oregon..
1. We act as family for about 60 mentally ill or brain damaged people who also have other combinations of disability. We do this through money management, personal care, advocating with government agencies and landlords, making medical appointments, arranging transportation and an escort and seeing the medicine is taken as prescribed.
2. We also manage money for 45 more capable clients, advocating or them and helping them navigate the social service system.
3. We offer free food and clothing to all in need as donations permit.
4. We educate the wider public about the lives of the disabled poor.
