Description
OUR KIDS is our community’s response to the need for caring, competent services for children who may have experienced sexual abuse. With about 800 visits per year, plus hundreds of phone consultations with parents, medical providers, and others, OUR KIDS annually helps over 1,000 children and their families get the care they need in addressing concerns of sexual abuse. Children come to OUR KIDS from all over Middle Tennessee, Southern Kentucky, and Northern Alabama. Providing 24/7 response, the OUR KIDS team is nationally recognized as “clearly among the best programs in the country and… in the premier tier of program models.” The staff now teaches others from around the country in the child-sensitive, multidisciplinary method that is the OUR KIDS hallmark.
