Description

Our Children’s Academy of Lake Wales, Florida, a public charter school for special needs children, opened July of 2006. We began with 22 children and have grown to 90 children this year. Many of our students and their families face challenges like Autism Spectrum Disorder, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome. The school is extremely unique because it combines an educational and medical model to best serve children with special needs.

Prior to the school, Our Children’s Rehab Center was established in 1986 to cater to the Polk County pediatric population. Located in Winter Haven, Florida, it serves children throughout Polk County. Specially trained and licensed speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists work together to improve the quality of life for Our Children.

Both Our Children's Rehab Center and Our Children's Academy work hand in hand to serve special needs children across Polk County, Florida.
