OuagaNet is a 501-c-3 grassroot nonprofit organization based in Florida and which operates in rural areas of Burkina Faso, a poor country in West Africa. All our associates are benevolent people who lend their skills, expertise and time to help fight extreme poverty in rural areas of Burkina Faso. Our philosophy consists of empowering the local villagers by providing them with the means to fight extreme poverty (goats to raise, seeds for gardening and farming, drip irrigation systems, tools, training about gardening, training in basic health care such as treating cuts and wounds as well as HIV/AIDS awareness. We are also active in the area of education by supporting the youth with basic school supplies such as pens, pencils, erasers and clothing to wear for the most indigent students. Our approach consists of implementing projects and providing feedback to our supporters in the form of videos and photos for every realization. We want our supporters to clearly see the impact of their actions whether it’s a donation of second hand clothing, medicine, purchasing goats for women, providing seeds, etc.
