Description
T.O.U.C.H. stands for The Organization for Understanding Children's Hearts. It is a support group for parents and family members of children with heart disease. The Board of Directors is an all volunteer group of parents who have children with special hearts.
T.O.U.C.H. is supported by and affiliated with Children's Hospital of Illinois at OSF St. Francis Medical Center and the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.
T.O.U.C.H. provides a variety of services to the families of children with heart defects. They provide a quarterly newsletter, an annual fall picnic,and a Parents' Survival Kit (information packet).
T.O.U.C.H. operates on a modest budget, surviving on financial gifts and proceeds from the raffle held at the annual picnic.
T.O.U.C.H. is an affiliate member of The Congenital Heart Information Network.
