Since 1959 the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation has been an important part of the health service delivery system in Oregon. The mission and purpose of OLSHF is “on behalf of the Lions of Oregon, to provide programs that positively impact quality of life.” Our purpose is to support local Lions Clubs in their efforts to serve their communities as well as offer sight, hearing and health assistance programs for youth and adults—many of whom are living with little or no health insurance and have nowhere else to turn. Annually, the Foundation serves more than 50,000 youth and adults across the state of Oregon.
To achieve our mission and purpose the Foundation provides 12 direct service programs related to sight, hearing and health assistance and which compliment the grassroots efforts of individual Clubs.
