Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters Program (HIPPY) is a small program in Western Washington County Oregon serving 150 families a year. HIPPY is a parent education program serving parents of preschool youngsters ages 3, 4 and 5 years. HIPPY supports parents in their role as first teacher to their child with an unmatched curriculum and trained and trusted peer home visitors from the communities served. HIPPY helps parents help their children be ready when they reach kindergarten and gives parents information about early childhood development and volunteering in the school.
