Description
Our non-profit is dedicated to protecting the environment by promoting alternatives to the use, manufacutre, release, and disposal of toxic chemicals. We are part of the Health Care Without Harm Coalition working with hospitals to develop and institute more sustainable policies. We are also working on comprehensive chemicals policy reform for the state of Oregon. The Center serves on the Community Advisory Group for the Portland Harbor Superfund Site Clean-up, ensuring that the public interest is considered throughout the remediation process. As needed, we respond to community concerns related to environmental health by connecting them to resources or, when necessary, providing legal support.
