Description
Orange County Coastkeeper is a community-based non-profit organization that seeks to protect, preserve and restore marine and freshwater ecosystems in Orange County.
We believe that solutions that are good for the environment are also good for business. At Coastkeeper, we collaborate with a variety of stakeholders in seeking solutions that are good for Orange County to protect coastal resources. We strive to build a community approach to watershed management with the intent of avoiding future conflicts, and agreeing on solutions that meet broad societal goals.
We employ an effective approach of research, education, restoration, and enforcement to increase the public’s awareness of water-related environmental issues and promote public/private partnerships resolve the most pressing water pollution issues in the region.
