The Omaha Zoo Foundation, a non-profit organization, was formed in 1984 and supports the mission, research and programs benefiting Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo.
Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo is committed to the preservation and conservation of our natural environment. Our mission is four-fold:
o To create and promote educational activities and programs to enhance the knowledge of the general public and the Zoological staff in all areas relating to the natural world.
o To promote conservation of rare and endangered species of plants, animals and their natural ecological systems.
o To design and undertake research programs related to the goals of the Zoo.
o To promote and encourage recreational activities for the public in relationship to wild animals and their habitats.
