Description
Dr. Don and Lois Verleur founded Olive Crest in 1973. Since that time, Olive Crest has grown to become one of the largest networks of care and treatment for abused children in the state of California. Olive Crest’s outreach also serves Southern Nevada and the Pacific Northwest.
Currently, in Las Vegas, Olive Crest operates a Foster Family Agency, caring for more than 60 severely abused or abandoned children ranging in age from birth to 18 years.
In addition to our foster program, Olive Crest provides several programs to help preserve the family. Olive Crest provides counseling, crisis intervention, behavior management, skills training, tutoring, advocacy with the court and other in home services. Olive Crest also offers free parenting classes as well as a Respite Program that provides support to parents.
With over 30,000 reported cases of child abuse in Nevada last year, we must work together to stop the abuse.
