Oklahomas International Bluegrass Festival

Oklahoma's International Bluegrass Festival, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization conceived and dedicated to promote the appreciation, education, and training of youth in the genre of Bluegrass and Traditional music, is an annual event (1996-Present) held in historic Guthrie, OK during the first weekend in October. This year, O.I.B.F. is funding 24 music scholarships to deserving young musicians to further develop their acoustic music instrument skills. During the Festival, school age children from the area are invited to participate in learning activities, arts and crafts in the Youth Tent set up on the Festival grounds. All youngsters (12 and under) are provided free pass access to all music performances during the Festival. In addition, there are Youth Band and Individual Youth Acoustic Instrument Performance competitions held during the Festival.
