Description
The Ohioana Library Association is a specialized non-profit dedicated to collecting, preserving, and promoting the works of Ohio authors, artists, and musicians. Ohioana was founded in 1929 by Martha Kinney Cooper, then First Lady of Ohio. Our collection currently contains approximately 45,000 volumes, 10,000 pieces of sheet music, and 20,000 biographical files on Ohioans of note. Along with our collection we publish a quarterly with reviews of recently published books by Ohioans and every year we hold the Ohioana Awards. Our awards are some of the oldest and most prestigious literary awards in the country.
