Description
The Oasis is a community-based non-profit organization reaching out to at-risk children and teens, ages 5 to 21. Their mission is to build mentoring relationships to support healthy development academically, emotionally, and in life skills. The Oasis provides a safe and positive alternative environment, nurturing diversity with all ethnic groups, for after school and as a weekend teen drop in center. Through a variety of workshops, after school Kidz Klub programs and tutoring, Friday night teen club, Sunday evening youth events and summer/winter camps for all ages, and field trips, inner city youth are encouraged and equipped to meet their goals and dreams and directed away from destructive lifestyles such as gangs and drugs.
