Description
Since 2006 Oasis House has worked with women who are trafficked in the Dayton, Ohio area. Located among the highest concentration of sexually-oriented businesses in Ohio, we are a faith-based outreach organization. By forging strong and trusting relationships with the owners of the nightclubs, we are able to provide outreach and counsel to these women, often times within the confines of the nightclub. We offer GED, literacy tutoring, basic computer training and professional counseling at our location. We have a staff of four and 75+ volunteers. Our Mission Statement: "To offer hope to women in the sex industry by promoting healing, restoration, and empowerment through Christ's unconditional love, teaching practical life skills, and mentoring the transformational process." Our goal – To change our community one life at a time by helping women to gain control of their lives and prepare for successful re-entry into society, free from their past and with hope for their future.
