Oak Manor Sixth Grade Center is a transitional school for all sixth graders in Niles, Michigan. Teachers help make this transitional year successful as students go from the elementary to the middle school. Our building is not a new structure and could benefit from your organization. We are very technologically advanced, and each of our students are assigned a laptop computer for the school year. The laptops have been made possible by the generosity of The Freedom to Learn program developed by the State of Michigan and Hewlett Packard. Even though our building is fortunate enough to have technology available, there is still a need for money to keep the program running smoothly. We have not been able to be successful in getting a PTO started, so fundraising efforts have been nill. I hope this will generate money for our school so that we can use it for additional needs as we transition from an elementary building to an all-sixth grade building.
