Description
Nursing Mothers Counsel of Oregon (NMC), founded in 1977, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the support, promotion and protection of breastfeeding within our community. An all volunteer organization, governed by a Board of Directors, provides free prenatal breastfeeding education classes, including teen parent classes, free peer counseling phone support, and little to no-cost breast pump rentals and lactation consultant visits for low income breastfeeding mothers. NMC also offers Workplace Lactation Support Services to businesses and their breastfeeding employees returning to work.
