Description
The NWC is a 501(c)3 organization which was established in 1979. The mission is to “Provide a Better Future for Wildlife Through Rehabilitation, Education and Research"
Fulltime Rehabilitation staff are available to assist with the rescue of an injured, sick or orphaned animals. The focus is to keep the animals wild. Once admitted to the center, animals are assessed and if treatment is available, will provide the highest standard of care until the animal is healthy enough to be released. Non-releasable animals are kept in the resident collection at the center or transferred to another facility to be used for educational purposes.
The NWC is free and open year round for public natural history tours.
Hours of operation are
Dec-March 10am to 2pm M-F
Spring and Fall 10am to 2pm M-Sa
Memorial Day through Labor day M-Sa 10am to 4pm with public tours every 1/2 hour
Other Education Programs are available for your school or community group. Please call NWC to schedule your program.
