Description
NAC is a grass-roots 501(c)3 organization operating out of Kalkaska County, Kalkaska, MI., reaching out to the surrounding counties. We hold fund raisers throughout the year to cover the costs of our spring, summer and fall low cost spay and neuter clinics. We collect dog and cat food for a pet pantry and work with a local community organization called KAIR to distribute the food. In addition we help many pet owners with emergency medical expenses. We network with other organizations through our website and Facebook to find homes for rescued animals. One of our newest efforts is our Raise the Woof campaign which will benefit our local animal shelter with first a new roof over the existing canine area and plans for a new building in the near future.
