Description
Non-profit agency serving northern Santa Barbara County, CA. Provides crisis intervention services in the form of 24-hour hotlines, advocacy, accompaniment, referrals, and follow-up to survivors and significant others of all forms of sexual violence. Education programs are conducted in local schools, colleges, and to community members at large. School based program is called ChildSAFE and is focused on educating young people about their rights and how to keep safe through the use of the basic principle of "say no, get away, and tell someone". Self Defense/Personal Safety courses are also offered to the community. All services and programs are offered in English and Spanish. Support services are extended to the men and women in the military stationed at Vandenberg Air Force Base. Agency staff work closely with members of the military community to ensure that all survivors and significant others who are either active duty or dependants receive comprehensive care.
