Description

The Newton (Massachusetts)-San Juan del Sur (Nicaragua) Sister City Project is a registered not-for-profit humanitarian aid and cultural exchange program that focuses on the needs of a small port town in southern Nicaragua. We build schools, invite medical teams and groups of high school and college students to perform community service in San Juan, support a Free High School for adults, and sponsor a Workshop on Appropriate Technology that distributes water purification systems and smoke-free cookstoves throughgout the 250-square-mile San Juan del Sur municipality.
