Description
New Moms is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to enable, empower, and equip homeless and near-homeless teenage mothers and their children. Programs include: individualized case management and mentoring; advocacy, crisis intervention, workforce development, permanent supportive housing for moms (18-21) and their children, parent support groups, intensive home-based parent education and developmental screening for children.
Last year, we provided 29,681 nights of supportive housing to 127 homeless families; 85% of families leaving CLP secured stable housing; with 100% of graduates stably housed. 55 moms enrolled in or graduated from school, a GED program, or vocational training; 33% completed Rising Star, with 61 becoming employed through our career services– 80% at higher than minimum wage. Over 14,500 meals were served during program hours. 158 children received Denver II Developmental Screenings.
