Description
New Dawn Transitional Housing Program is for homeless young adults in San Bernardino County. New Dawn THP provides a way toward self-sufficiency for emancipated foster and/or probation young adults ages 18-23. New Dawn THP assists by offering supportive services along with stable short-term housing. Prior to entering New Dawn THP the participants are homeless, from an emergency shelter, or foster care system. The majority of young adults enter the program with few practical life skills, minimal job history, or little to no emotional support. New Dawn THP provides weekly life skills classes. These classes model real world situations that are necessary for success when the young adults exit the program. Participants are required to work, pay rent, train for careers, and complete their education. When participants complete the program they have employment, permanent housing, as well as independence and self-determination. New Dawn strives to eliminate homelessness.
