Description

Nene's Hope strives to empower individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease
by giving voice to its impact, through:

• Awareness. Providing avenues for meaningful dialogue and interactions with the
health care community and developing support systems for sickle cell patients

• Scholarship. Creating opportunities for sickle cell patients to pursue life
enrichment activities that promote personal or professional development by
financially supporting such goals

• Fellowship. Funding grants for professional/graduate student summer research that investigates medical developments and advancements in the field of sickle cell treatment and management


The initiatives undertaken by this organization will focus on the North Charleston and Charleston areas of South Carolina.
