Description
Neighborhood Bike Works seeks provide educational, recreational, and career-building opportunities to urban youth through bicycling. Operating in two West Philadelphia locations and local public schools, NBW teaches safety and repair classes based on the Earn a Bike model, uses bikes as a tool for personal fitness and well-being, works with program graduates to develop advanced , leadership, and entrepreneurial opportunities, and conducts family oriented bike rides, public bike safety checks, and bike safety and fitness workshops. NBW also hosts adult classes and Bike Church, a cooperative bike repair workshop for adults.
