Description
A non-profit education group dedicated to fostering appreciation of nature & providing tools for ecological living. We also serve as Eugene's Park Hosts in Alton Baker Park & teach classes at the Network Charter School.
Programs:
School Nature Walks: hands-on nature walks that feature nature discovery, storytelling, games, & pond study.
Summer Daycamps: week-long camps highlighting everything from wildlife to watersheds, critters to conservation, trees to transportation.
Kinder Critters: presentations in costume that share the fun & fascination of local wildlife.
Weekend Events: weekend Nature Quests & the annual Haunted Hike.
Classroom & No-School-Day Programs: interactive nature programs at schools & in Alton Baker Park.
Restoration and Learnscape Projects: volunteer work parties, litter patrols, and gardening projects.
Network Charter School: life science, eco-literature, geography, math, & fly fishing classes for 6-12 graders.
