NAICCO is a nonprofit inter-tribal organization that exists to preserve, protect, and promote Native American spirituality, culture and philosophy ingrained in the prayer "Matakuye Oyasin", all my relations, under which the Center operates on a day to day bisis. NAICCO has a small prt-time paid staff & many volunteers who make the Center's everyday work possible. Due to the competitive grant process, NAICCO's funding has been drastically reduced and we have been operating with a deficit. We are proud to serve a diverse population of people in Central Ohio from many different tribes. Most of our cliental are reservation-based native families and individuals who are in Central Ohio temporarily or who have permanently relocated here. We provide a food pantry, clothing distribution, and recovery programming for two low-income zip codes in Columbus. We also offer cultural education programming & produce two powwows to the general public each year.
