Description
In 1893, leading U.S. sculptors and architects founded the National Sculpture Society (NSS) to “spread the knowledge of good sculpture” throughout the country. NSS was incorporated in 1896 and received tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(3) organization in 1939.
The purpose of the National Sculpture Society is to promote sculpture throughout the United States, to which end its programs are directed. NSS is one of the first places many sculptors turn for information, opportunities, or assistance.
