National Church Residences (legal name) was organized in 1961 as a 501(C)(3) not-for- profit organization to provide housing options to older Americans with modest incomes. The Reverend John R. Glenn led four Ohio Presbyterian churches (Chillicothe, Waverly, Portsmouth and Columbus) in this effort and served as president for 27 years. National Church Residences' mission is to promote active independence in quality housing at affordable prices. This ministry is targeted toward moderate/low-income older adults, moderate/low-income families, formally homeless adults and persons with physical challenges.
National Church Residences serves the public without regard to religious affiliation. Additionally, National Church Residences does not discriminate against any person because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, family status or handicap.
