The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse (CASA) at Columbia University is a unique think/action tank, which brings together under one roof all the professional disciplines needed to study and combat abuse of all substances --alcohol, nicotine, illegal, prescription and performance enhancing drugs--in all sectors of society. With a staff of 60 professionals, CASA's work commands the respect of the public, policy makers, practitioners, researchers and the media and is the catalyst for private and government action.
