Description
The National Center for Sports Safety was founded in 2001 to promote through education and research the importance of injury prevention and safety at all levels of youth sports. NCSS focuses on decreasing the number and or severity of injuries through developing and teaching sports safety courses and collecting, analyzing and researching injury data. The primary vehicle of education to youth coaches and parents is the PREPARE course which may be taken online or in a classroom setting. "There is not one parent who would drop their child off at a local pool without a certified lifeguard on duty. That same standard of care should be applied to dropping our children off at a sporting event or practice." Dr. Lawrence J. Lemak, Founder.
