Description
The National Association of Independent Artists (NAIA) is a 501(c)(6) trade association of independent professional artists. It was organized in 1996 to enhance the economic well-being of artists who create original works of art that they exhibit at outdoor and indoor art and/or craft shows, to encourage creative expression and artistic excellence, and to expand public awareness, appreciation and acquisition of American art and fine craft. The NAIA’s impact on the art show industry has been greatly felt through advocacies it has developed on issues common to art show artists, and by working in concert with arts festivals to promote the advocacies and strengthen the show environment for artists, shows and the patrons who attend them.
