The National Association for Multicultural Education , aka NAME, is a non-profit organization whose members celebrate cultural diversity as a national strength that enriches a society and rejects the view that diversity threatens the fabric of a society. NAME believes that education that is multicultural promotes equity for all regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, ability/disability, language, age, sexual orientation, or religion.
NAME is committed to a philosophy of inclusion that embraces the basic principles of democracy and cultural pluralism.
